Getting GNU Emacs
One of the latest and greatest OLD pieces of software you can add to your computer is the Emacs text editor, or more specifically the GNU Emacs editor.
What can Emacs do? First and foremost it is a text editor, you write with it. If you write documents, notes or code Emacs can do it. Emacs runs on Windows, Mac and Linux, it runs with a nifty graphic screen or just in text mode. The emphasis for Emacs is letting you enter and edit whatever you want, efficiently.
